Trolleybus Magazine (TM) is the NTA’s own Journal, appearing every two months (six editions per year) with a standard format of 44 pages (including covers), fully illustrated (mainly in colour) and printed on high quality paper to achieve durability and best image reproduction. It has acquired a deserved reputation as the most comprehensive magazine for those seriously interested in trolleybuses, with quality articles featuring all aspects of trolleybus operation past and present and an acclaimed news service providing up-to-date coverage of trolleybus developments throughout the world.
The development of TM has been one of continuous improvement. It started in 1963 as a duplicated newsletter and from issue 40 (May 1968) changed to a new format with professional printing, later being enclosed within covers with front bands of colour. There have been progressive increases in page count and since 2006 colour images have been used throughout, though naturally retaining black/white views for historical coverage.
So that you can see what you have been missing, a few sample pages from recent issues of Trolleybus Magazine are shown below, covering historical and current feature articles, reviews of new book titles on trolleybuses, photographic coverage of special events in the trolleybus world and examples of our unrivalled news coverage. For this we rely upon a regular supply of news from our worldwide network of well-informed contributors, many of whom have been contributing to this aspect of our work for many years.
We believe that Trolleybus Magazine is the ideal medium to keep you up-to-date with what is going on in the trolleybus world, including recent developments such as the move towards in-motion charging for new routes and systems. If you do not already subscribe to TM through membership of the NTA, we shall be pleased to send you a recent sample copy with our compliments. Simply enter your details on the Membership page of this website and you will soon be able to catch up with all the latest trolleybus news in the comfort of your home.
